The Gate (100-word story)

The gate at the end of the garden has always bothered me.

It’s been locked for as long as I can remember, whenever I get close to it, it starts to glow red. There is no reason for this to happen and no one else can see it.

One day I decided enough was enough and I stormed up to the gate and cut the rusted lock on it, and it swung open.

Walking through it I find out quickly why it was locked…

They found my body a week later with an army of the dead.

You better run!
