I know that I keep harping on about my sore back but it’s been playing on my mind a lot as you can imagine so it’s what I’m writing about.
The other thing happened this week was that I got a nice wee tax rebate (woo hoo free money) so today since my back has been feeling better we decided to go shopping and get myself some new clothes.
We drove through to Fort Kinnaird, which is a shopping centre on the far side of Edinburgh, its about an hours drive from home. Although we went via the wife’s work so that she could hand her notice in as she has gotten a new job closer to home. Yay.
When we got there I was in a lot of pain from the drive, I had been sitting in the car driving for about an hour and a half so it was incredibly painful. We walked about a bit I was really struggling to keep going. Even though I was pushing the pram and supporting myself with it, I was on the verge of collapsing with the pain, I couldn’t take much more.
We were in a shop getting some stuff to help with dry skin and blah blah blah. When the little one started crying she kept looking at me and wanting up so, ignoring the pain, I picked her up out of her buggy.
She started to hug into me and give me a slobbery kiss (or more accurately drooled on my face) and that’s when it happened.
The pain in my back started to lessen. It reduced so much that it went away almost completely.
I don’t know why this happened but I have created two theories:
1. The act of picking her up and holding her, her additional weight acted and a counter balance and helped move my centre of gravity to elevate the pain in my back
2. I have a very special baby girl and magic baby cuddles healed my back and made me feel better.
I like the second theory better.
Magic baby cuddles fix everything
I just love her and I have a magic baby.
On another note I ended up spending more money than I thought on clothes.
Have a good day/night everyone
