Trying to get back on track, beating Writer’s Block

Hello my lovely readers,
I am in a bit of a quandary, I have been trying to get back into the swing of writing again, and I’m having a little bit of trouble.
It has been over 5 months since I have written any erotic stories that I have in the past been able to write quickly.
So I have been trying to write one to see if I still have the skills for it and I just can’t think what to do with it.
I seem to have some serious writers block going on here.
What I’m trying to figure out in this one is this. There is a guy who is stuck in a hotel, he can’t get a room because it’s booked, but he can’t move on. He sitting in the bar now in the bar he is going to pull, and things will progress from there.
What I can’t decide is if he should randomly meet someone in the hotel that he knows and has had feelings for in the past but it could never work out due to timing or if he should pull the girl who is working on reception in the hotel and seems to be interested in him.
Both of these women have rooms in the hotel

I know this may sound like a stupid thing to think about, but I’m trying to break my writer’s block.
Any opinions would be much appreciated
Cheers
Colin

  1. I’m personally always a sucker for the rekindled chemistry stories that happen on a whim but fresh and new relationships with the woman you know nothing about is cause for an interesting story as well especially if she has a shoddy past or something of that nature. I probably didn’t help that much but those are my thoughts in this moment, lol

  2. My gut feeling would be to go with the woman he knew previously, too – but it’s a common trait in my writing, so I might be biased here. What you could do (and I’ve done this a few times) is to write the story as if it’s going down one route, and if it suddenly sticks, then try the other one, you might find one comes more easily (pardon the pun). If not, and you’re left with both, you could work in a scene where he’s kind of trying it on with one until he spots, or really takes notice of, the other one. Or – you might have two completely different stories out of it. Whatever you do, don’t beat yourself up about it. Let the story just happen. If I beat myself up over an erotic story, it just dies a death. The story will find you if you just relax into it, I promise.
